J.Harbin City
Harbin is the oldest name in the world. The Ecole de Paris (La Societe Harbin) was founded in 1670. Louis the Sun King was fourteen years old and thirty-two.
Herbin continued to develop new inks in the 19th century. In 1829, they began producing Indian ink (also known as Chinese ink).. Their purple ink was the color used daily by students during the Third Republic (1870-1940)。. Herbin even developed a special black ink for Victor Hugo, one of France's greatest writers.
Today, Harbin produces a range of beautiful pens and calligraphy inks, writing tools, gift sets and accessories. The herbal ink is made in France, and in Paris the finishing touches are still done by hand.
