Heavy gel

Each gel comes with a glossy, semi-glossy and matte finish. They are used to create glazes, extend paint and alter finishes.  Gels are essentially colorless pigments because they use a 100% acrylic polymer, just like acrylic paints. Gels are also excellent adhesives for collages and mixed media, they have excellent chemical drying elasticity, water and UV resistance.

• Softgels (L-R, gloss, matte, semi-gloss) are thinner than specific body colors. Blend with color to produce a brilliant glaze. Softgels can be used as a base for wet mixing or as a binding agent for collages.

• Common gels (L-R: Glossy, non-glossy, semi-glossy) have the same viscosity as heavy acrylic paints and are ideal for extending paint and regulating clarity without changing consistency. A pigment used for thick coating.  

• Heavy gels (left to right: glossy, non-smooth, semi-glossy) are thicker than heavy body acrylics and can be mixed with other colors to add bulk. Perfect for maintaining peak.

• Extra heavy gels (L-R: Glossy, non-smooth, semi-glossy) are thicker than heavy body acrylics and can be mixed with other colors to add bulk. Perfect for maintaining peak. 

• High solid gels (L-R: Glossy, matte) are physically similar to superheavy gels. Because they contain less water and more acrylic solids, they shrink less than other gels. They blend well with color and retain brush strokes when dry. It comes in gloss and matte.
